Obituary
The reaper death has again gathered from our midst another loved one, Etta Eighmey, who died of consumption Thursday evening Sept 6th at her home in Tyrone, age 20 years 4 months and 16 days. The funeral services was conducted by Rev. J. Jefferson Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. in the Forest Center School-house, the remains was tenderly laid to rest beside those of her mother and sister who recently preceded her to the better land. She leaves a father, six sisters and two brothers to deeply mourn her loss, all of whom received her last farewell except one, Mrs. Taylor of Superior. She will be greatly missed in the home circle and by the numerous young people with whom she associated. The bereaved father and family have the sympathy of the neighborhood in this their third affliction by death within three years.37

Miss Etta Eighmey, the next to the youngest daughter of H.E. Eighmey, Tyrone, died of consumption last Thursday evening. Etta had been a patient sufferer for several months and death did not come to her as a dread nor unexpected as she had said a few weeks before her death “that she was not going to stay here much longer but was ready to go.” She called her father, sisters and brothers to her bed side to bid them good-bye about an hour before she died. Rev. Jefferson conducted the funeral services at the Forest Center school house Sunday afternoon at 2 o’clock and she was load to rest by the side of her mother who died only a few weeks ago. Mr. Eighmey and family have sympathy of all in their sad bereavement.
