John V. Kolar and Miss Hazel Elizabeth Frasier, both of this city, were married at Duluth Tuesday, August 5.

Both are well known and esteemed young people of this city, the groom being employed as telegraph operator at the Omaha Depot. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dan B. Frasier and has been chief operator at the Barron County Telephone Company’s office in this city, where she has been employed for the past eight years. They have many friends here who extend their best wishes and congratulations.

The newlyweds will make their home in this city and will be at home after August 10 at 313 West Eau Claire Street.

A miscellaneous shower was given for Miss Hazel Frasier Tuesday evening July 28, by thirty of her friends. She received many beautiful and useful presents. A mock wedding was staged after which a bountiful lunch was served.

On Friday evening, Aug. 1, another shower was given by fourteen telephone operators who presented her with a chest of silverware. The evening was spent in dancing.

Still another shower was given her Saturday evening, Aug. 2, by twelve of her girl friends, who presented the bride-to-be with silver and beautiful glassware.2
