Druggists to Honor “Half Century” Men
Adolph W. Johnson of St. Paul, 76-year-old practicing pharmacist who began “hanging around drugstores” when he was 11, will be honored Wednesday by fellow druggists of Minnesota.
Mr. Johnson of 971 Fairmount is one of 15 Minnesota druggists who will receive engraved certificates from the Minnesota State Pharmaceutical Association in the Nicollet Hotel, Minnesota.

Mr. Johnson operates the Johnson Drug Store, 307 Jackson St. He became a pharmacist in 1901. He says he began “hanging around drugstores and running errands when I was 11 years old.”
For years, he operated a pharmacy at Fourth St., between Wabasha and Cedar.
