WILLARD L. REED
Willard L. Reed of New Auburn died Saturday evening, Oct. 1, 1934 at the age of 68 years. He was spending the evening with a neighbor when suddenly taken with a stroke of apoplexy.
The deceased was born at Necedah, Wis., and moved to Bloomer with his parents in early childhood. He spent 27 winters logging in the Chippewa River valley. On July 18, 1896, he was united in marriage to Miss May McDonald of Bloomer. To this union four children were born, Earl and Dale who preceded him in death.
He leaves to mourn his death, besides his wife, two sons, Guy of Sampson and Hugh of New Auburn, four sisters, Mrs. Laura Toy of Chippewa Falls, Mrs. D.F. Lynch of Ridgeland, Mrs. Jennie Burns of Duluth, Minn., and Mrs. O. A. Hammerstein of Pocatello, Idaho, also one brother, Wesley Reed, of Rice Lake, and 6 grandchildren.
