SCHARLAU - FRASIER
Fred J. Scharlau and Miss Corabell Frasier were married yesterday afternoon at three o’clock at St. Joseph’s parsonage, Rev. C.F. Schmit officiating. The bride is the popular daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Fraiser and the groom is a valued employee of the Hammond-Chandler Lbr. Co. of this city where the happy couple will make their home. With the bride the groom gets a piano which the bride won in a recent voting contest.4
Obituary
Corabell V. Scharlau, 96, of Rice Lake died Wednesday at the Rice Lake Convalescent Center. The former Corabell Frasier was born August 9, 1889 at Rice Lake. On June 26, 1912 she was married to Frederick (Ted) Scharlau at Rice Lake. They farmed at Couderay, WI until 1940 when they moved to Lemington, WI where they operated a General Store. They returned to Rice Lake in 1971.
She is survived by a daughter, Lucille Berget of Milwaukee, WI; 5 sons, James of Rice Lake, Dale of Couderay, WI, Robert of Butler, Tenn., Edward of New Berlin, WI, and William of Milwaukee, WI; 21 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild. She is preceded in death by her husband Frederick and by a daughter, Dorothy.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Monday at Appleyard’s Home for Funeral. Rev. William Swam officiating with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery in Rice Lake.4
