Obituary
The Forest Center community was shocked on Tuesday, July 24, when Ed Eighmey received a telegram from Minnewaukan, N.D., saying his brother Ward Eighmey, had died that morning.
Ward Eighmey was born thirty years ago on Sept. 12. His father and mother having died when he was about 12 years old, he made his home with his brother, Ed Eighmey, most of the time until about two years ago. He married Miss Bird Thompson of Elmwood and leaves to mourn his loss a wife and child, five sisters, one brother and a host of friends.
The funeral services were held Thursday, July 26, at the Sherman Bashaw home in Minnewaukan at 2 o’clock and at the church at 2:30 o’clock.
Interment was made in Minnewaukan. (8-2-1917)28

Former Well-Known Dunn County Citizen Succumbs During Vacation.
Knights Creek, Aug. 1 -- Word was received here one day last week from Minnewaukon, N.D., of the death of Ward Eighmey, formerly of this place. He and his family had gone to North Dakota to spend the summer. He leaves a wife and one child besides a host of relatives and friends to mourn his loss. (8-2-1917)28
