Census records say she was born in Ireland, but death certificate lists New York.8

Rice Lake Chronotype, September 12, 1912:

Mrs. Bridget Smith died suddenly Tuesday while calling at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Duncan Grey, of this city. The cause of death was heart failure. The funeral was held Friday forenoon from St. Joseph’s church, Rev. C.F. Schmit officiating. The remains were interred in the Catholic cemetery. Mrs. Smith, who was a widow, was 75 years and 16 days old at time of her death.13
