Mrs. Robert Cook, aged 63, died Sunday morning of diabetes and dropsy at her home in the town of Red Cedar after a year's illness. Funeral services were conducted this afternoon at one o'clock at the home and 1:30 o'clock at St. John's Evangelical church of which she was a member. The Rev. O. E. Hoffman of Beyer Settlement officiated and burial was made in the Iron Creek cemetery.
Mary Cook, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Cook, deceased, was born in Menomonie, April 9, 1866, and has always made her home in Dunn county. She was united in marriage to Robert Cook March 29, 1889, and to this union six children have been born, one of whom, Vernon, died at the age of three years.
Those left to mourn her lass with her husband are five children, Mrs. W. E. Hennessey (Elsie), of Los Angeles, Cal., Mrs. Robert Rossiter (Sarah) of the town of Red Cedar, Mrs. William Scharlau (Margaret) of the town of Elk Mound, Leonard at home, and Albert of the town of Spring Brook; one sister, Mrs. Henry Otto, of Menomonie; one brother, Albert Cook,of Rice Lake; and 11 grandchildren.
